OUR PRE-PROCESSING IS DONE WITH DUE CARE & ESSENTIAL STEPS

Pre-processing activities of the firm is undertaken in this factory which is located near the harbour i.e- Negambo , Due care is given and it is seen that all the essential steps are taken to preserve the freshness and quality of the catches. As per the requirement of the customer, pre-processing is done on prawns/shrimps to convert them into headless or PUD. Also, cutting & cleaning process is done on some fishes as per the demand and requirement of the customer & export houses. To keep intact the freshness and quality of the product, all the requisite infrastructure is readily available with the Firm. To maintain the quality of the products the firm has its own ice plant, fleet of insulated vehicles, trained supervisor & staff members.

OUR HIGHLY EQUPPIED FLEET FOR TRANSPORTATION OF FRESH MARINE PRODUCTS.

Transportation of the Fish & Marine Products from their landing centre to processing unit and thereafter at customer place with intact freshness and quality is our prime motto. For that we have 40 vehicles, fully insulated having carrying capacity of 8 tones/vehicle with preservation capacity up-to 8-10 days. Due to the availability of such modern facilities, the raw material, i.e. catches purchased by us throughout the south area of the Sri Lanka are transported in its intact form and is

necessary to keep the freshness and quality of the products. Along with this the firm has a fleet of small pickups for delivery of ice to the harbour or dock.

With state-of-the-art factories, strategically located in close proximity to major landing centres, we are able to process the material in the shortest possible time thereby maintaining freshness. It has helped us develop a raw material supply chain unrivaled anywhere else in the industry.
Output per Day – At full capacity in the factories – 15 tons of Head on Shrimps per day Production in year 2010 – 2000 Tons of Head on Shrimps

Quality

At our in-house laboratories, an experienced team of quality personnel ensure only seafood that clear stringent quality, flavor and freshness standards pass through the doors of our factories to designated regions. Apart from strict adherence to HACCP, BRC, FDA, EU , FDA certifications and National norms we also ensure that they are packed in accordance with customer specifications.

Quality Policy

Our policy is strongly built on its overall quality intention and direction to process and deliver products which conforms to National, International and Buyers specifications. A quality assurance system based on Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) has been developed to which the management is fully committed. To translate our policy into its effective implementation, the company regularly conducts in-house training programs to impart the desired awareness and skill to its employees at all levels in producing quality products safe for human consumption. All our products are fished from the Indian Ocean and we have a clear focus on sustainability, through empowering the traditional sector, the enhancement of sea safety, and the rational exploitation of untapped deep-sea resources.
